About Ruben

I am a member of the A'aninin (White Clay) Nation. My White Clay name is Nee Ha Woo (Buffalo Run). I was born on a beautiful Saturday morning in February on the Ft Belknap Indian Reservation in the state of Montana. My parents are Moses Nez Perce (5/1924-2/2008) and Betty Lou Cochran (8/1931-10/2008). After my parents devorce and before my first year of school my grandfather, Bryan Cochran Sr (7/1900-5/1968), gave me his last name. I hope I have lived up to the honor of my grandfathers name.

I am now retired after 38 years in the field of Information Technology. My work has allowed me to travel throughout the USA. I have visited every state in this great country and lived in many of them. Plus I have been fortunate enough to have visited many foreign countries. I love to see how other people live and marvel at the scientific and architectural accomplishments of ancient civilizations. I have always looked to see what was over the next hill. Now I have the time to explore the world.

I attended grade school in Hays, Browning and Dixon, Montana.

I attended high school at the Flandreau Indian Boarding school in South Dakota, the St. Paul Mission School in Hays, the Concho Demonstration Boarding School in El Reno, Oklahoma and the Ft. Sill Indian Boarding School in Lawton, Oklahoma.

I received my Degree in Electronic Engineering from Western States College, Englewood California.

I am married to Linda Rae Yost of Portland, Oregon, a beautiful and understanding lady. I have one biological daughter, Lisa Marie, from my first marriage to Rose Ann Packard of Rosebud South Dakota. Lisa has blessed me with two grand daughters, Sonya Rose, Wanbli Wakita-we, and a grandson, Markus. Sonya and Wanbli extended our family with great grandsons, Taybriel and Ryder respectively. I have two daughters from my second marriage to Phyllis "Jane" Brown from Taft California, Kellie and Rannie and they blessed me with two more grand daughters Kelsie and Ally.
